Delaney was the sole child of her mother who was a homemaker and high-ranking executive of the United Auto Workers. Delaney spent most of her childhood with 4 brothers. As a child she was aspired to become an official in the courtroom. But after she graduated from high school and moving in New York in the 1980s and began to model, she was hooked.
